Maldives Advice

Hi All,

Want to plan a trip to the Maldives but never been there myself therefor I have no idea where to stay or what little island/resort to stay at.

Resort must be kid friendly as I have two children. I know that the Four Season and Hilton are no brainer but trying to see if there is any hidden secrets about any Maldive Resort anyone can recommend.

Any suggestions on what area of the islands is best.

We stayed at Kuredu (www.kuredu.com) which is a 40 min seaplane flight from Male (additional charge). Our kids were 6 and 3. They loved it. The resort has an all-inclusive option which isn't too bad. The beach bungalows are nice enough and sleep 5, there is a wading pool and small playground. No kids club. The other pool was deeper than the 3 year old's head, but the 6 year old could swim. The best part is the accessibility of the reef for snorkling. We took the kids out, both in lifejackets (that we brought) and they loved it. There are snorkling trips, a sunset boat trip and a spa. The beach was amazing.
