Margarita recipes

since i have a wheat/gluten allergy, tequila is my life blood. gone are the heady days of beer and whisky.

as such, i have experimented a fair bit with margaritas.
this is my favourite.

2 shots Cuervo gold tequila
1 shot Cuervo white tequila
2 shots Cointreau (or Bols triple sec)
1/2 shot Roses lime juice
1/2 shot real lime juice

shake it all up, throw in a few ice cubes and bob's your uncle. hell after a couple of these, bob can be who he damn well wants to be.

anyone got any alternative suggestions?

I like to put passion fruit juice in a margarita. It's amazing.

both sound good! does anyone know where i can get good tasting, prepared lime juice, for convenience? the plastic bottled ones in park n shop don't cut it.

you cant Carmen, you should buy only the good large size limes too not the small tiny ones!

An ounce and a half of nice tequila

3/4 to 1 ounce of cointreau or another nice triple sec

the juice of one fresh, plump lime

seriously...

1 ounce of simple syrup (2 parts sugar to 1 part water, yes 2 to 1 sugar to water)
