how much should I expect to pay for a resonable house in a safe area for my family in beijing. I am currently negotiating this with my company so any advice on where and costs would be great

First,I wanna know where u live.
You see the locations affect the price.
Then what is the most important to u,the price /decoration,and so on.
There are many things to think about.

Its probably safe to say between USD4K to USD7K a month for a family size house in a compound with good facilities. Of course there are some that are USD10K/month but then you can also find some houses in older compound for much much lower than USD4K.
