Magic in Beijing

I am a medical school professor in the States, invited to lecture in several cities across China in Sept. I begin and end in Beijing. I am also a magician and along with lecturing I will be giving workshops on magic to pediatricians at a half dozen Children's Hospitals. Usually I make up magic kits in advance for attendees but rather than fill my luggage with these in the States, can anyone suggest where I can shop in Beijing to buy magic utility items and effects? Also it would be fun to meet local magicians but I could not find a local group (or "ring") on-line.

This is my first trip to China and I speak almost no Chinese.
