Summer Activities in Beijing for kids

My husband is now working in Beijing and I am planning to spend the summer holiday over there. Do you happen to know any summer camp or activities for a child of 12? My friends may be coming over with me too and their children are ages of 9 and 10. Many thanks.

My stepchildren will be visiting at the same time, and I'm trying to find activities for them as well.
If it's July, you may be in luck -- there is a Tennis camp at the (Swissotel?) near the airport.
There is also Camp Adventure, at ISB (US Embassy coordinates it, I believe.)
In August, the going is harder...

Does anyone know of summer activities at the local schools? I want to get my kids to meet some local friends.

Tried to ring the Swissotel to enrole my kids on the Tennis camp. No-one there seemed to know what I was talking about! Thet said someone would call me back but noone has. If you have any luck, I'd be grateful for a contact number and name. Cheers

I have a book "Kids in Beijing Spring 2006" published by China Population Publishing House. I got this copy free when I visited the International SOS but the price at the back says RMB25. It is a book like the Insider's Guide but much thinner and packed with information with summer camps for kids in Beijing.

I mis-informed you. It isn't the Swissotel, but the Sino-Swiss Hotel. Sorry. I'm trying to get my stepchildren enrolled as well. Will let you know if I have luck.
There is also a soccer camp (email to coaching@wanguoqunxing.com), plus a Leadership Academy at Western Academy of Beijing. (Email to justin.leaderstodaychina@hotmail.com.) I'm planning to enroll my stepchildren in both of those, in addition to the tennis camp.
Last trip, they complained of being bored. This trip, NO CHANCE will they be bored -- though they may return to their mother exhausted...
