Charity Organization

Is there any charity organization in Beijing like World Vision that we can sponsor specific children for studies or medical assistance. Have heard too much scandal about management of orphanage here, just don't feel want to throw the money to nowhere.

There's a brief write-up in the December issue of Time Out Beijing about New Day Foster Home, which works to treat and foster special-needs children from other orphanages around China. Their website is http://www.newdaycreations.com/foster

I don't have any first-hand knowledge, but it's someplace to consider.

Got info from them, thanks. BTW, please contact Ms. Ding at 8028-1586 X8020 if anyone wants to sponsor disable kids.

PS - I was reading the December issue of That's Beijing on the way to work this morning, and they have a short article highlighting a few different Beijing-based charity organizations, including a group of donation centers (used clothing, electronics, etc) around Beijing.
