Taking a cat out of China....

I'm determined to bring my cat home to England with me when I leave China. It looks like there is no way I can avoid quarantine though. Can anyone advise me on preparations I should make before attempting to do this? Also where can I get his rabies vaccination done in Beijing? Am I likely to have any trouble at the airport?

I have done quarantine twice with my cats in the UK. One was absolutely superb the other was horrendous and both was very expensive. At home you must get someone to visit the catteries to make sure they are OK. Go to the Defra website and they will email you all the info. If not get back in touch with me. I used a very good vets service here that will find out all the requiremnts you need, again if you want info let me know

But companies in China cannot help with the UK quarantine standards ED.Also you REALLY have to go on recommendation, we have learnt to our cost

Santa Fe is a multinational company with experience moving people from all around the world. Worth checking with them - if they dont know they can likely recommend someone as its likely they've had such a request in the past
