Hi Sophie,
My wife is French and we have also just arrived. You may also want to check out the French Alliance and cultural center near the south gate of the Workers' Stadium in Chaoyang. They have a bookstore, library and movie theater.

Hi profiterolla
Do you know where a young child (age 10) can take French language classes (outside of regular school)? My children take French classes as a language subject as part of Canadian curriculum. I would like them to continue as they would need French to get their High School Diploma. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Sorry, I did not see your posting until today. I think the French Alliance offers classes. They are at the intersection of Gong ti xi lu and Gong ti nan lu. Are you looking for accredited schools, classes, or private tutoring?

Looking for private tutoring or a small class for children about age 10ish would be ok too. I will check out the place. Thanks.

My wife is French and used to teach at the international school in the Lido. Would you like me to ask her if she would be interested in tutoring?
