international schools

Our family are looking at relocating to Beijing before the new school year starts, it seems unlikely that we wil be able to get to Beijing to view the schools first hand so I am hoping for some feed back on a few schools. Our girls are 4 and 6. The schools we are interested in are BISS, montessori, WAB, ISB,Yew Chung - well pretty much all of them as your can see. So any first hand experiences would be appreciated. Also, a very adult part of me wants to life in the urban centre, the parent in me wants to be near the schools - any suggestions on combing the two desires?

We are looking to relocate to Beijing later in the year. I feel more comfortable living close to schools in case of an emergency. My son and I will relocate if there is a spot for him in high school. If not we will remain in the USA. He applied to school in May. I can tell you that ISB only has a few openings left for fall. They show on their web site: Pre-K (4yr olds), and grades 1,3,6 & 8. You better get applying ASAP if you wish to relocate your girls on time with your plans or you might be staying behind with them as your husband leaves this fall. (If that is your situation). Thank you for taking the time to reply. I am feeling more that to live near the schools is the right decision. We have made contact with ISB and fortunately for us as you say the vacancies are in the classes we would require. We are now in the position of hopefully being able to confirm (hopefully)education without having the contract even being confirmed - nothing is straight forward is it!
