Having a baby in Beijing Posted by Pink (1248 days ago) Please help- I am due to have a baby in October and will be in Bj at that time , please does anyone have any advice or a contact source on how I find out about this , ANY info on quality of health care / cost etc would be gratfully aprieciated ! There are lots of hospital etc advertised in the thats beijing magazines etc but I know this is abit confusing. We are going with the Beijing United family hospital, I know alot of people find this one of the most expensive but we have insurance so we are covered and its the hospital I felt most comfortable with. Its to western standards and very clean and they speak English. Do you have any insurance to cover costs? Posted by pregnant in Beijing (1248 days ago) I have just read your thread on another part of the site and realised you are not in Beijing at the moment (and I dont know where you are based) so I will give you another web address I have found in the Beijing magazines so you can have a look at a couple of places before you decide. I havent been there but I know a friend who is looking into them and said they seem good and more reasonable prices (but like i said I have no personal experience with them) Posted by Pink (1248 days ago) Thanks pregnant in bj , I will look into all these , yes it is all very confusing as I am in Korea at the moment and will be here until July when we relocate to Bj , I spent 5 months in Bj last year so I kind of know my way around but last time I was there I never needed to go near the hospitals so I am in the dark . I have no insurance as I was too late to apply .Thanks again for your help , I may need your advice again later on !
