APARTMENTS for 2000 RMB or less

I am a poor American. I want to get an apartment for 2000 RMB or less. Do you know of any half descent places I could look within walking distance of any subway lines?

Must have a thrown toilet and not a squatter...I haven't mastered the art of reading while squatting

CAn you advertise for a roomate and go for some of the 2bd's for 2500RMB in Hui Long Guan?

Or, get someone who speaks Chinese [you?] to call the several realtors in HLG. There are while buildings here astanding empty and ready to be rented.

Go look in the west near Gonzhufen between 3rd and 4th ring
also down south but that that has less access

I know of some low rise apartments near to DaWangLu metro station that may fit your bill. Just to the west of Xian Dai Cheng, opposite Sheng Shi Jia Yuan (just off the main road into Guomao)these places go for around RMB1200 pm. They're supposed to be quite comfortable and have good amenities close at hand.
