Language Study-Blank Word Cards

Does anyone know where I might be able to buy these in Beijing?

When I was in Japan they had Word Cards (tango cado) , basically small flash cards (blank) on a key ring. These were great study aides, you could write your study words on them and then stick them in your pocket and study when you had a free moment.

I actually produced my own on hard cardboard. Helps you practice your writing too. It takes time to write them though but if you are studying and each lesson (day) you learn new words you just use the text to write them down and review on the train etc.

Also to answer your question I did see some at the Wangfujing bookstore (I think it was Xinhua) but it's the big one next to the Oriental Plaza. Go to the 4th floor for Chinese language study and look around for them. I think there were 700 words and costs 75Y. But don't quote me on the price.

Guess you never watched Blue Peter, or else you'd be busy with a cornflakes packet, sticky back plastic and a fairy liquid bottle right now ;-)

Don't know about blank ones, but I bought a set of 1375 cards for 90RMB at the BLCU bookstore. They're pretty good - show character and stroke order on the front, and the reverse has translations, plus a few connected words. Now I've just got to get round to learning them....
