Traditional Thanksgiving DInner

Hi,

I am US born living in HK. For the past 6 years I have cooked a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner for all my International HK friends. This year I will be meeting relatives from the USA in Bejing for Thanksgiving. Does anyone know of any places in Bejing that will be serving a Traditional Thanksgiving Dinner? Your help will be greatly appreciated.

If you're in the Chaoyang area of Beijing, you might want to call The Orchard (a European restaurant) in the Shunyi district to see if they are serving a Thanksgiving meal. My guess is they are and it's one of our favorite places. I'm sure it would be great. Their number is 6433 6270 and I would recommend reservations as it is very popular, esp. for holidays. (And be sure and get good directions. It is tricky to find as it is literally tucked in an orchard.) Good Luck!

Hi,

Thanks so much for the info. We'll be sure to give it a try. My family will be in Bejing for two weeks - I arrive for the last three days so they will have already seen all the tourist spots. Can you make any suggestions for add'l non tourist places to take them whilst I am there. I love Bejing but after visiting the Great Wall atleast a half dozen times it isn't so great anymore.
