Posted by corduroy (1020 days ago)
We are moving to Beijing in Jan 2006 and we are looking for schools for our kids ages 7 and 3. Can anyone recommend any good and reputable international schools? My 7 year old is currently attending the Australian International School Hong kong. Please help. We have never been been to Beijing and don't know the place at all. Thanks very much.

Hi Corduroy,
I'm from the U.S. and I'm teaching an Australian school in Beijing. AISB offers a genuine Australian Outcome-Based Curriculum. We’re a K-7 school located in the Chaoyang District on a lovely park-like campus. Our spring semester starts February 6, 2006.
Best of Luck & Happy New Year!

PS. My Australian school's holding a free seminar entitled "Education and Your Child's Future" at the Capital Club on Feb. 22, 2006 at 10:30am. This maybe quite helpful for you in your school selection. If you want more info or want to rsvp, just email my school at enquiries@aisb.com.cn Thxs~

Do you know whether the schools you mentioned offered summer camps/classes?
I have a 7 year old daughter and would like to take her to Beijing this summer to spend a month in summer camp. Ideally I would like her to attend camp at a local school so that she can mingle with the local kids and learn a bit of Putonghua. Would you know of any local schools offering such camps? Or even local schools which are organising summer schools for a month or so?
