Mom & baby group

I have moved to Beijing a couple of weeks ago with my two children, 3 years and 7 mths. Would love to meet other moms and dads with babies, or join mother & baby group. any suggestions? We live in the Lido area (Chaoyang district) but I would consider travelling into town, e.g. Sanlitun/Lufthansa Center.

Hi Ruth, I am in the process of trying to do the same thing, I am pregnant but trying to find groups to join.

What nationality are you? I only ask cos I am British and I had some good advice recently to email my embassy and ask them what groups they know about in Beijing, might be something for you to try with your embassy in Beijing?

Also I will write again next week to let you know more about where these groups are exactly if I make any arrangements.

let me know if you find any good ones as well if you dont mind.

Hi, Funny the above post beat me too it! I went to a la leche meeting today for the first time, I am planning to breast feed when the baby comes but actually went along to meet other people having or with babies. It proved to be very useful to me and a good fun. Its for pregnant ladies and those with kids. Its held the fourth friday of every month.

Actually we organize family day every month in Beijing . Our group called Susan's group.

Hi I have a 9 1/2 months old daughter who is half German. We have been here since Mar and finally settle down with apartment hunting and new job. Would like to seek a playgroup over the weekend for my princess. I am at the Jianguomenwai area near to Ritan. (May 25, 2006)
